Would you like to add at the end of this tour a unique and unforgettable trekking experience of 4 or 5 days? We offer you the possibility to customize this itinerary including a trekking (high physical difficulty / medium hiking difficulty) to the Lost City, an archaeological and sacred site hidden deep in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range. Declared in 1986 a Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Lost City was founded between the 7th and 8th century (more than 600 years before Machu Picchu in Peru) by the indigenous people of the Tayrona community and it was the political center of the region. It was discovered only in the 1970s and, unlike Machu Picchu, there are no trains or buses that allow you to reach its ruins – the only way to witness its beauty first-hand is on foot. Contact us and we will provide you with all the necessary information!
