Travel Throughout the Year

Argentina can be travelled throughout the year, but the ideal travel period depends greatly on the regions included in your itinerary. Patagonia and the Andes offer a very different experience in winter compared with the warmer months, while Mendoza and northern Argentina can be enjoyed throughout much of the year.

We’ll help you choose the best itinerary for your travel dates, adapting the route and activities according to seasonal conditions and availability.

DAY 1 – Welcome to Buenos Aires

Arrival in Buenos Aires, private airport transfer to your accommodation and time to settle in and start discovering Argentina. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 2 – Buenos Aires: Culture, History & Tango

Enjoy a private guided city tour of Buenos Aires, visiting Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Puerto Madero, San Telmo, La Boca, Recoleta and Palermo. In the evening, enjoy an unforgettable Argentine tango show. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 3 – Bariloche & the Lakes District

Fly from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, surrounded by spectacular lakes, forests and the Andes Mountains. After arrival, private transfer to your accommodation and free time to explore the town. Overnight in Bariloche.

DAY 4 – Circuito Chico

Explore the famous Circuito Chico with private transportation, discovering spectacular views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and the surrounding mountains. Optional chairlift ride to Cerro Campanario for one of the best panoramic views in the region. Overnight in Bariloche.

DAY 5 – The Seven Lakes Route

Enjoy a private transportation excursion along the famous Seven Lakes Route, travelling through beautiful Patagonian landscapes, lakes and forests towards Villa La Angostura and Correntoso Lake. Return to Bariloche in the late afternoon. Overnight in Bariloche.

DAY 6 – Mendoza & Argentina’s Wine Country

Fly from Bariloche to Mendoza and enjoy a private transfer to your accommodation. In the afternoon, discover Mendoza’s famous wine region, visiting selected wineries and vineyards in Luján de Cuyo or Maipú. Overnight in Mendoza.

DAY 7 – The Andes & Aconcagua

Explore the spectacular Andes Mountains with private transportation, with stops at Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca and viewpoints of Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas. Overnight in Mendoza.

DAY 8 – From Mendoza to Northern Argentina

Fly from Mendoza to Salta. After arrival, private airport transfer to your hotel and time to discover the charming city of Salta. Overnight in Salta.

DAY 9 – Cafayate & Ruta 68

Travel with a private driver through the spectacular Quebrada de las Conchas towards Cafayate, with stops at some of the most impressive landscapes along Ruta 68. In Cafayate, enjoy a group wine tasting experience before returning to Salta. Overnight in Salta.

DAY 10 – Salinas Grandes, Purmamarca & Tilcara

Travel with a private driver through the dramatic landscapes of northern Argentina towards the immense Salinas Grandes, crossing the spectacular Cuesta de Lipán mountain pass along the way. Continue to the colorful village of Purmamarca and finish the day in Tilcara.

DAY 11 – Pucará de Tilcara, Quebrada de Humahuaca & Tilcara

Visit Pucará de Tilcara, an ancient pre-Columbian archaeological site. Explore the spectacular Quebrada de Humahuaca with your private driver, discovering colorful mountains, traditional villages and unique Andean landscapes. Overnight in Tilcara.

DAY 12 – From Northern Argentina to Iguazú

Private transfer (approx. 4-hour drive) to Salta airport before your flight to Puerto Iguazú. After arrival, private transfer to your hotel and free time to relax. Overnight in Puerto Iguazú.

DAY 13 – Iguazú Falls: Brazilian Side

Discover the Brazilian side of the falls with private transportation, offering some of the most impressive panoramic views of Iguazú. Optional: visit to the Bird Park or a scenic helicopter flight over the falls. Overnight in Puerto Iguazú.

DAY 14 – Iguazú Falls: Argentine Side

Explore the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls with private transportation, including the Upper and Lower Circuits and the spectacular Devil’s Throat. Optional group boat excursion before your flight back to Buenos Aires. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Extension to Rio de Janeiro: After Iguazu, you can easily extend your trip by 3–4 days in Rio de Janeiro, with direct flights, beautiful beaches and plenty of time to relax and explore.

Important Information

Seasonal considerations: Bariloche and the surrounding Patagonia region can be visited throughout the year, but the experience changes considerably depending on the season. During winter, snow and cold temperatures can affect some excursions and road conditions, while the warmer months are ideal for exploring the lakes, forests and mountain landscapes.

Mendoza and northern Argentina generally offer greater flexibility throughout the year, although individual activities and excursions may also vary depending on the season and weather conditions.
